Point Cloud


Using 3DF Zephyr Free I captured in video render 50 takes of a Renaissance inspired planter in my still life studio. I polished all the edges within the software to make the most of the results. I performed a retopology the point cloud with mesh tools and subsequently, I exported the file as an OBJ so I could play around with it in Blender. 

The process

In my still life studio, I used a rotating base to capture every angle of the piece and select the best footage to create the best scan possible to achieve those sought after YESes at the platform. All 50 of them^^

Blender Possibilities

In Cycles, I used distortion modifiers and created a liquid-y flooring to highlight the piece with tutorials I learnt on YouTube. Lastly, I illuminated areas in pops of neon.
